General advice to help prolong the life of an A/C and Heating System:

• Never turn the A/C on after it cycled it self off or was manually turn off. This is called short cycling. Wait 30-60 seconds if the system was just turned off.
• During brownouts and blackouts, turn the A/C system off. This helps it from short cycling and possibly prevents the compressor for grounding out or over heating.
• Do not plant bushes close to the outside condenser. Make sure plants don’t grow over the condenser either to where it may be in the way of the evacuating air. The needs as much air flow as possible
• Do not build shelters over the condensers.
• Do not store items in the Return Air ducts.
